"For many centuries, the hearth has been the heart of the home. It's where we cooked and ate and shared the songs and stories of our families. In this concert, I will play and talk about delightful music that I believe needs to be shared and remembered because it is at the heart of what it is to be human." - Ari Snyder
Ari is a composer-pianist who was born in Paris, France and brought up in New York City, where he studied piano at Julliard. With degrees from Princeton University and U. C. Berkeley, he was a professor of English in Montreal. There he also directed over three dozen musicals and several choirs. In 2021, Ari participated in the BAM Orchestra's concert, and he and Susan Shantora presented a song recital, both at the NACC. All proceeds from this concert will be donated to support the Yellowknife Music Festival.
